The free Gift to share

By Stewart Topping

Jesus birth is celebrated once a year and Jesus death is celebrated once a year, but the free gift he gave is available 365 day a year.  We can also give that gift away to anyone who will listen.

To receive this free gift it only requires that you believe that God his son Jesus to die on the cross and then was buried and rose again by the holy spirit for your sin.

Remember this verse…….

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Eph 2; 8-100 (KJV)

It is a free gift from God; we do not have to work for our salvation. God set the plan of redemption in motion in Genesis after Adams sin. The plan came to a conclusion when Jesus said “it is finished” on the cross. John 19:30 (KJV)

What is the requirement “whoever believeth in Jesus will have everlasting life.”

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

This verse has a little more detail. Spend some time reading this.

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worked in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (Eph 2:2-7) (KJV)

Before we believed we walked according to the course of the World which has the influence according to satan. We were children of wrath and dead in our sins.  We were raised up by the Holy Spirit along with Jesus. We needed to be redeemed.

This year give away the free Gift from God. Tell someone.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) (KJV)

What are your core beliefs?

Is your foundation the same as the Apostle Paul talks about?

by Stewart Topping

1 Corinthians 3:11 (KJV)  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

With things moving so fast it is so hard to stay connected with any one thing.  Christianity is being attacked from all directions; TV, Magazines, Sitcoms, Movies and Newspapers where people have so different views.   Some are believers and some are not!  It’s no wonder that we have so many beliefs today.  Doctrinal difference’s are the biggest problem with Christians .

However we do have the choice of what we regard as our core beliefs, regardless of what Church we go to.   Paul said it quite well, that we must have the same foundation.

1 Corinthians 3:10 (KJV)  According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.  But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Here Paul is telling us that what he said is the foundation of our beliefs given to him by God in revelation.  (the mystery)  Core beliefs are very important things and can make the difference between Heaven or Hell.

Some just want a Fire Insurance policy, so they will escape Hell.  They don’t want to check the book themselves. Some say I can’t understand, it’s to hard.  So they take the word of someone else.  That why we have hundreds of Churches with different beliefs about salvation, the simple approach to making peace with God. But if you only believe what someone told you are your convinced that when you go to cash in the Fire Policy, God will take it.

It should be easy to establish our core beliefs.  Do a quick review, write done what you believe about salvation and then study your Bible to confirm it.  Stop and ask yourselves, what do I believe and why do I believe it?  You don’t believe every commercial on TV;  why is that?
